Job Description
The Operations & Marketing Coordinator is a dual-purpose role built to support our Special Operations Manager while owning the full marketing function for Brew Haha. On any given day, you might be helping with an off-site event booking and then switching gears to write a newsletter or schedule Instagram posts. You’re organized, creative, and comfortable moving between spreadsheets and Canva without missing a beat. This is a high-visibility role: the content you create and the events you help execute are often the first and lasting impression customers have of our brand.

Operations Support (working alongside Special Operations Manager)
  • Assist with end-to-end event coordination: respond to booking inquiries, confirm details, build timelines, and support load-in/load-out logistics.
  • Attend and support off-site events as needed; may include both mobile trailer and indoor espresso bar events
  • Help with cleaning and restocking mobile units as directed by the Special Operations Manager.
  • Keep booking notes, checklists, and operational documentation current and accessible.
Social Media Management
  • Own Brew Haha’s social media presence across Instagram, Facebook, and any emerging platforms.
  • Plan and maintain a monthly content calendar that highlights seasonal drinks, events, promotions, and behind-the-scenes moments.
  • Create and schedule posts using Brew Haha’s scheduling tools
  • Shoot or coordinate original photo and short-video content in the shops and at events.
  • Monitor comments, DMs, and mentions — respond in a timely, on-brand voice.
  • Coordinate with the Special Operations Manager to promote upcoming events, pop-ups, and catering availability.
Email Newsletter
  • Write and send a regular Brew Haha email newsletter (frequency TBD; likely bi-weekly or monthly).
  • Manage the subscriber list, segmentation, and deliverability in our email platform (MailChimp).
  • Create engaging content: seasonal features, new menu items, upcoming events, promotions, and community spotlights.
  • Monitor open rates, click-throughs, and unsubscribes; adjust content based on what resonates.
Blog & Content Writing
  • Create posts weekly for the Brew Haha website on topics such as coffee education, seasonal drink guides, event recaps, community highlights, and company stories.
  • Ensure blog content is optimized for basic SEO (keywords, meta descriptions, internal links).
  • Repurpose blog content into social posts, email sections, and other formats to maximize reach.
  • Collaborate with ownership to identify stories, milestones, and announcements worth featuring.
Additional Marketing & Brand Responsibilities
  • Design or coordinate design of basic marketing materials: flyers, digital graphics, event signage, and promotional cards using Canva or similar tools.
  • Support the iDrinkLocal.coffee directory partnership — help maintain the Brew Haha listing, post specials, and monitor check-in engagement.
  • Bring fresh ideas to the table: you’ll have room to propose campaigns, seasonal themes, and creative concepts.
Requirements
  • Strong writing skills — clear, warm, and on-brand across emails, captions, and blog posts.
  • Hands-on experience managing social media for a business or brand (not just personal accounts).
  • Ability to create clean, attractive graphics and visual content (Canva proficiency required; Adobe a plus).
  • Highly organized and self-directed — able to manage a content calendar and operational tasks simultaneously without close supervision.
  • Responsive to phone calls, texts, voicemails, and emails; communicates clearly and promptly.
  • Comfortable working across multiple priorities and shifting between creative and logistical work in the same day.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work across both shop locations and occasional off-site events.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience with MailChimp or similar email marketing platforms.
  • Basic understanding of SEO and content strategy.
  • Photography or short-form video skills (Reels, TikTok-style content).
  • Barista or coffee shop experience.
  • Experience in event coordination, hospitality, or customer-facing roles.
PHYSICAL & SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to be on your feet for extended periods during event shifts.
  • Ability to lift and carry supplies up to 30–50 lbs when assisting with events.
  • Availability to work some evenings and weekends based on event schedules.
  • Comfortable working indoors and outdoors at off-site events in varying weather.
